Charlie sheen selma blair, Charlie Sheen has denied that a rift between himself and actress Selma Blair led to her being fired from hit FX show Anger Management. In June, it was confirmed that Blair was leaving the sitcom though reports suggested she had grown tired of Sheen's erratic behaviour on set.

Fast-forward to last night's (12 Sept.) Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Sheen - whose no stranger to controversy - had a very different story to tell. When the subject of Selma came up, he told Leno that her character was written out of the show because it was moving in a different direction.

"One of our primary characters, Selma Blair, who played Kate, was written out because [the show] was not about our relationship, and the problem was too many people were still excited about the Two and a Half [Men] character and thinking the Anger Management character was a little dull," Sheen explained.

"Her character leaves, and I start circling the drain," Sheen continued. "So it's really fun to watch and hella fun to play."

TMZ.com broke the news over the summer that Sheen fired the actress and refused to shoot with her after hearing that she had complained to Anger Management executives about his behavior. Selma apparently took issue with Charlie's time-keeping and "shoddy work ethic."

Sheen exploded when he heard the news, specifically referencing the fact that he himself learned "40 pages of lines per episode compared to her 2." He reportedly wanted to offer Mila Kunis a golden contract of $1 million per episode to replace Blair.

Anger Management broke ratings records with 5.74 million viewers on its series debut night though things have cooled off a little since. Sheen is reportedly paid over a $1 million per episode for the show, while FX are paying $600,000 per episode for the privilege.
