Aaron carter acne

Aaron carter acne, We all know that prevention is the best medicine: You wash your face 3 times a day. You sit out in the sun everyday. You use the best astringents and acne fighting medications. But you still have facial acne. Sometimes you just have to live with acne, whether its because you're a teenager and your hormones are wild, or whether its a side effect of steroid use.

Now that you have acne, what can you do?

There are tons of products to use that will help you fight your breakouts. Here are two more to add to your arsenal. After years of using these two I cannot imagine fighting an outbreak of acne without them. The first one may seem obvious, but it probably hasn't occurred to many people, the second one is not so obvious.

Yes, you read that right, makeup. True, it seems kinda girly, but I would rather have a clear complexion than a face full of bright red zits. I'm sure almost all of you would agree with me. There have been times when my breakouts were so bad that if I didn't use coverup, I would not have left my house. Coverup makeup can be bought at any pharmacy for under 10 bucks, and trust me, its worth every penny. If you feel too embarrased to go in and buy it yourself, have your girlfriend, sister, or mother get it for you. Here is everything I have to say about coverup that I've learned over the years:

1. Buy a shade that most closely matches your skins color. If you have light skin, go with "light" or "ivory", etc.

2. The most important rule to remember when using coverup is to NOT make it look like you are using it. So one, its important that you buy the right color, and two, its important not to use too much of it.

3. Once you have selected the right color shade, dab a TINY bit of it right on the zit. Now use the tip of your finger (wash your hands first) to gently dap the coverup over the zit.

4. Dab only, do not smear it around when applying. One, you'll just have to use more to cover the zit adequately and two, the bigger the area of coverup, the more likely it is for someone to notice you're wearing makeup.

5. Depending on how old, bright, and big the zit is, it is sometimes possible to make it completely disappear with the coverup. This, obviously, is the ideal situation. Sometimes, though, you may have to settle for making it a little less noticeable. It's better than nothing at all though.

6. It is always better for the zit to be showing just slightly than to try to hide it using TOO MUCH coverup. No one will notice a very small, faded zit. They WILL notice a patch of coverup on your skin, especially since the color shades will never perfectly match your skin tones.

7. You can only apply coverup to a dry zit. If you try to apply it to a zit you just squeezed a minute ago, you will notice the coverup will not "stick" to that area. You'll end up with a circle of coverup with a big red zit right in the middle. So you have to wait for it to stop oozing or bleeding before the coverup is effective. If you have to, you can use one of those styptic pencils that people use when they cut themselves shaving.

8. The good thing about coverup is that it doesn't come off easily, which means that once you put it on, unless you're sweating like crazy and constantly wiping your face off, it will last awhile. The bad part of this is that if you mess up putting it on, for example you realize you used too much and it is noticeable, it won't come off with just water. The best way to remove it from a small area is to put a little bit of astringent on a cotton swab and wipe the area.

9. In my opinion, the coverup alone helps to dry the zit out, but there are also some brands that include acne fighting medication in the makeup.

10. If you're going to go sun tanning, its best to wash off the coverup first. It will block the sun's UV rays, so you will end up with patches of untanned skin surrounding the zit. And, of course, if your tanning to help treat your acne, you don't want the coverup protecting the zit from the UV.

If used properly, coverup will allow you to go from a spotty complexion to a relatively clear one. As with anything, practice makes perfect.

Desitin, the active ingredient of which is zinc oxide, is used to treat diaper rash in infants by relieving dry and damaged skin, blocking moisture, and reducing redness. Knowing this, we can see why it is an invaluable part of our acne fighting arsenal. It reduces the appearance of zits and makes them heal much faster. Desitin can be found in the baby care aisle of your local pharmacy or grocery store. Here is how desitin can be used to fight your acne:

1. There are two types of desitin, regular desitin, and desitin creamy. Regular desitin smells a little like fish, but after awhile you don't notice the smell. Creamy smells much more pleasant and is easier to wash off, but in my opinion is not as good. Stick with the regular formula.

2. Before bed, wash your face thoroughly. Apply a small dab of desitin directly on top of each blemish (I've only done this on squeezed zits, I'm not sure how effective it would be on zits you left alone). Do not rub it in. The stuff is bright white, so you will look like a little bit of a jerk walking around with white spots all over your face, but its worth it. Probably not something you want to do if you're going to be sleeping with your girlfriend or spouse, but if you live with your parents like me, it's not really a problem.

3. Leave the desitin on your face and go to sleep. By the time you wake up, most of it will probably have gotten wiped off on your pillowcase, so you're probably better off having a white one. Try to sleep on your back so the desitin is on your face for as long as possible.

4. Desitin will reduce the redness of your zit, making it less noticeable, and easier to coverup (see above).

5. After a few days, the dead skin around your zit will peel right off and the zit will be gone. In most cases, this will occur 2 or 3 days earlier than it would have if you left the zit alone.

6. Desitin works wonders when you apply it to a zit you just squeezed. It literally sucks the pus right out of them. Squeeze a zit, put the desitin on, and look at it in the mirror 10 minutes later. You will see a big droplet of pus coming out of your spot of desitin. Wipe the area clean and reapply some desitin. This is a much less harse way of squeezing all of the pus out of your zit than by squeezing over and over with your fingernails, the result of which is inevidably a bigger red spot than you started out with.

7. Don't limit your desitin usage to just at night before bed. If you're gonna be home for a few hours, and no one is home, or no one around cares, put some desitin on and go about your day. The longer your blemishes are covered by desitin, the quicker its going to heal. Just don't forget to take it off before you go out.

8. As I said earlier, there are two types of desitin. The creamy smells better and its easier to wash off. The latter of which is, in my opinion, its weakness. If you roll around a lot when you're sleeping, the creamy is much more likely to come off. The regular seems to work better, and if you don't use a whole lot of it, you won't even notice the smell.

Well, thats about all I have to say for now. Comments are welcome. I hope this information is helpful to those of you who need it. Keep this post bumped for all bros to see. Take care.
