Gucci Mane Arrested For Guns & Drug Possession, Gucci’s not having the greatest week. After a despicable Twitter feud with Nicki Minaj, the rapper’s downward spiral continued when he was arrested in Atlanta, Ga. in the early morning of Sept. 14.
Now Gucci Mane is really going to need help — legal help. The controversial, struggling rapper was reportedly put in handcuffs on Sept. 14 after acting erratically and cursing out policemen in the middle of an Atlanta, Ga. Things only got worse when the 33-year-old was taken into custody.
Gucci Mane Arrested In Atlanta
At about 12:05 a.m., police responded to a complaint made by one of Gucci’s friends that he was behaving erratically, according to TMZ. When police approached the rapper, he only made things worse by cussing them out and threatening them, which more or less guaranteed his arrest.
Upon being taken into custody, police reportedly found a small amount of marijuana on Gucci, as well as a handgun.
Gucci was booked for carrying a concealed weapon, disorderly conduct, and marijuana possession, TMZ reports. Gucci Mane’s behavior must have been legitimately alarming, because after running him through the system, Atlanta PD then reportedly took him to a hospital as a precaution.
Gucci Mane’s Heated Twitter Rant
Things just keep getting worse and worse for Gucci. On Sept. 10, just fours day before his arrest, the rapper really embarrassed himself by going on a Twitter rant that debased and disrespected a handful of people — mostly women — in the hip-hop world.
His main target was Nicki Minaj. He first tweeted about her, “Me and waka f**k nikki minaj dats nothing, Tell. Her intervention my d**k in her throat I moved dat b**ch to atl. B**ch u was sleepin n d car. B**ch. I pulled dat n**** off wayne bus.
And when Nicki responded back saying she would never have sex with Gucci, he tweeted again, “So nikki I didn’t have u in atl for 2 weeks room rate 60 a night?”
Two days after the rant Gucci deleted his Twitter account.
There seems to be a prevailing sense that Gucci Mane has gone off the deep end, which is why he is acting so destructively. A hospital may be the best place for him right now.
