John Legend & Chrissy Teigen Get Married
The adorable couple exchanged vows during a romantic, luxurious ceremony at an estate in the posh Lake Como, Italy, according to E! News.
It was a small, intimate ceremony but definitely star-studded — John’s frequent collaborator Kanye West attended while model Brooklyn Decker acted as Chrissy’s maid of honor, according to Us Weekly. Rapper Biz Markie was also on hand to DJ at the reception.
Chrissy wore three dresses by Vera Wang on her big day — an ivory gown for the ceremony, a mermaid dress for the reception, and a crimson strapless gown for the after party.
And it turns out John did serenade his new bride! “I will be singing for her, ‘All Of Me,’ which I wrote for her,” John told Us before the wedding.
John Legend & Chrissy Teigen’s Romantic History
John and Chrissy have been dating since 2007 — they got in engaged in December 2011 when John popped the question during a holiday vacation in the Maldives.
Ever since their engagement, Chrissy has been working on creating the perfect wedding. “In my mind it’s just like an explosion of ideas,” the 27-year-old model previously told E! News. She also revealed that her wedding dress wouldn’t be over-the-top, just nice and relaxed like she is: “I’m not going to be that ball gown girl at all. I don’t want to shock the guy coming down the aisle. I just want to be myself.”
John and Chrissy have always seemed so loving and caring for each other — and they definitely don’t look bad next to each other — so we couldn’t be happier that they’ve taken the ultimate step in their relationship.
The new bride was fully aware of how meaningful getting married would be, as she explained to Joan Rivers on Fashion Police in August that she and John were both anxious to tie the knot. “We have everything,” she said. “We’re starting to get jitters. It’s happening.”
It happened! Congratulations to the newlyweds!
