'Boston's Finest' police officer Pat Rogers dead after apparent suicide
Boston's Finest' police officer Pat Rogers dead after apparent suicide,Boston's Finest" star Pat Rogers has died. The Boston Police officer was found dead after an apparent suicide just one week ahead of the TNT show's second season premiere.

Pat was popular on season one of the show, known best for the work he did with his partner, Jenn Penton. He was one of the first officers to appear on the show and many respected him and enjoyed watching him on the job. On Nov. 20, however, the Boston Herald confirmed the tragic news.

"We stand with the men and women of the Boston Police Department and send heartfelt condolences to family, friends and fellow officers," read a message on the Boston's Finest Facebook page.

The "Boston's Finest" season two premiere was slated to be held at the Revere Hotel last night but the event was promptly canceled when the news broke. Executive producer Donnie Wahlberg was in town for the event and was completely heartbroken to learn of Rogers' death. "I am deeply saddened by this tragedy," Donnie Wahlberg told the Herald last night.

Pat Rogers does not play a huge role in the second season of the show which reportedly focuses on the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings. Further details surrounding Rogers' death are being kept private out of respect for his family.

"Boston's Finest" will return to television on Tue. Nov. 26 at 9 p.m.
