Bob Kravitz of the Indianapolis Star noted where Kubiak went down and described the stunned, somber tone at Reliant Stadium.
After the game Texans GM Rick Smith said Kubiak was in "stable" condition. Kubiak will remain with medical personnel for the next 24 hours. On Monday it was reported he had suffered a mini-stroke.
The 52-year-old Kubiak was taken off the turf on a stretcher. NBC Sports captured the scene and reported that the coach was thankfully conscious and talking.
CBSSports.com's Will Brinson documented Michelle Tafoya's report on the NBC broadcast, and it seemed as though Kubiak was in tremendous pain.
In the third quarter, the Texans annouced Kubiak did not have a heart attack according to Tania Ganguli of ESPN.com
This scary situation trumps the positive development on the gridiron for the Texans, who entered Week 9's prime-time clash on a five-game losing streak. Colts owner Jim Irsay offered his prayers to Kuibak.
Houston had gotten out to a 21-3 lead on the division-leading Colts at the half, but Indy make a strong comeback in the second half to secure a 27-24 win.
Regardless of the outcome, Kubiak's health takes precedent above all else. Hopefully the Texans coach has a speedy and full recovery.
