Kindergarten touching ban

Kindergarten touching ban
Kindergarten touching ban,  A B.C. elementary school has banned kindergartners from all forms of “hands-on” play — even tag and holding hands — after an apparent epidemic of fighting children.

“Any and all imaginary fighting games” are now punishable by trips to the office and the “missing of playtime,” according to a notice sent to the parents of kindergarten students at Coghlan Fundamental Elementary School in Aldergrove.

“Do we expect our kids to be robots?” said Julie Chen, the mother of a Coghlan five-year-old and one of the most vocal opponents of the new policy. “They’re five-year-olds — you can’t stop them from running around and having physical contact.”

“Kids get hurt all the time. What are we going to do next, put them in a bubble to go to school?”
