What’s less clear is why the Spice Girl loudmouth and Stephen Belafonte are dressed like a bride and groom.
Mel, 37, chose a strapless off-white dress with an actual train, and her film producer husband wore his best suit to walk the red carpet.
The couple are already married, having eloped to Las Vegas in 2007.
To complete this vow renewal all Mel would need is a veil and Emma Bunton, Mel C and Geri Halliwell as bridesmaids (we can’t exactly see Posh slipping into a satin Coast frock, can you?)
The happy couple were actually attending a meal for model Natalia Vodianova’s Film Aid charity ball, where Mel was rubbing tattooed shoulders with bigwigs of the film world.
America’s Got Talent judge Mel, who’s certainly making herself known on the talent show panel, upped the glamour with the floor-length dress and made her hair look all classy like in a slick bun.
And to be frank, it’s lucky she was wearing any clothes at all. Mel recently stripped off in LA for a dare.
The Spice lady displayed her girl power – and a little more if you had some binoculars – on her balcony in the Hollywood Hills.
