Alabama kicker Cade Foster breaks silence, Alabama kicker Cade Foster had a rough game on Saturday night at the Iron Bowl, missing two of field goal attempts and having one blocked before eventually being replaced by freshman kicker Adam Griffith for what turned out to be an incredibly ill-fated 57-yard attempt (which we will point out is longer than most pro kickers can consistently do) on the last play.
What happened afterwards on Twitter and social media was perhaps a mix of the worst of the internet — Foster received numerous death threats and other hate-filled tweets — and a show of support from his teammates and other Alabama fans.
On Tuesday, Foster, who made of 11 of the 15 field goals he attempted this season, broke his social media silence with this tweet.
