The companies are selected because of responses from half-a million U.S. employees who anonymously provide feedback through a survey. It is compiled by an online jobs community called Glassdoor.
This is the second year in the top spot for Bain & Company. The list includes:

3. Linked In, a social networking website for professionals
4. Eastman Chemical Company, a manufacturer and distributer of chemicals
5. Facebook, a social media website
6. Guidewire, a software maker for insurance carriers
7. Interactive Intelligence, a global provider of call center technologies
8. Google, an online search engine
9. Orbitz, a travel planning website
10. Nestle Purina, a petcare company
