Heidi Klum from Germany

Heidi Klum from Germany
Heidi Klum from Germany, Heidi Klum recently admitted that her fear of plastic surgery has forced her to fight aging in other ways.

On Saturday, all it took for the 40-year-old to keep those nagging forehead lines in check was a perky haircut with a full row of bluntly cut bangs.

Heidi smiled radiantly beneath her becoming fringe as she grabbed coffee-to-go in rainy Los Angeles with her bodyguard-turned-beau Martin Kristen.

Bangs aside, the rest of her hair framed her square-cut face most fetchingly as she dashed between raindrops from car to cafe.

The Project Runway host, who dressed up as a grandmother for Halloween, confessed earlier this week that she doesn't fear aging as much as she does going under the knife.

While many models and actresses have turned to Botox and fillers to erase the signs of aging, Heidi maintains she's not one of them.

'Botox or bangs,' she told Access Hollywood Live. 'I go for bangs.''I've never done anything,' Heidi said. 'I've been too scared, to be honest with you.

'I'm scared that all of a sudden you're changing too much, your face starts changing,' the mother of four said.
'I would have a hard time looking in the mirror and seeing something that I'm not used to seeing. I'd be afraid!'

Heidi's active, health-oriented day usually begins with fresh vegetables and fruit slices, and it showed in her slender figure that she clothed in a black parka, black trousers and Wellingtons.

The former Victoria's Secret Angel and mother-of-four also told the entertainment show that she will not be modelling any more lingerie now that she's reached the 40-year milestone.

'I wouldn't model with my underwear down the runway anymore,' she said. 'I think I would find it a little uncomfortable, maybe.'

Klum, who is also the host of Germany's Next Top Model as well as designer of a kids' fashion line for Babies R Us, won't be hanging up modelling entirely.

'I still do photoshoots for [magazine] covers and different things or advertising stuff,' she said.Later on Saturday, the supermodel was spotted getting into the festive spirit with children Johan, seven, and Lou, four, for a spot of Christmas shopping.

The German stunner didn't seem to mind going out make-up free with her usual flawless hair the worse for wear from the rain.

Wearing jeans, a jumper and a burgundy wool coat, she plodded through the wet weather to lunch in Brentwood, with a pair of pink boots to keep her feet dry.
