Kordell Stewart is reportedly “very disappointed” that he couldn’t make his marriage to Porsha Stewart work. Their lawyer confirmed on Dec. 5 that their divorce was officially finalized, after he filed the papers in March 2013.

Kordell “expected to be married for life,” Shiel Edlin, Kordell’s lawyer told TMZ after the divorce went through. Kordell, 41, who previously played for the Baltimore Ravens, is still extremely mad after all the fighting.
For reasons we cannot understand, [Porsha] displayed a reckless abandonment of anything close to the truth over the last eight months,” Shiel told the site. ”We are also hopeful that Porsha will stop vilifying Kordell at every opportunity.”

The statement from his lawyer also confirmed that Porsha will also go back to her maiden name, Williams:
[Porsha] previously stated she was keeping Kordell’s last name, which made Kordell very concerned about the damage it could cause. However, she reconsidered and decided to restore her maiden name, Williams. Kordell now believes he can restore the Stewart name and brand, for which it has been known through many generations, one of character, integrity, honesty and truthfulness.
Porsha Stewart: Kordell Didn’t Treat Me Right
One of those lies that Kordell’s team is referring to is when she commented about his sexuality, but HollywoodLife.com spoke exclusively to Real Housewives of Atlanta star recently about just that.
“I really haven’t come out and said whether I thought he was gay or down low,” she told us. “Because I don’t feel that is the subject at hand. The subject at hand is why was I treated why I was treated?”
Porsha is proud of herself for what she’s done and ready to put the past behind her.
“I put 100 percent into the relationship and I’m proud of myself for standing in the storm. And for being strong and still being that wife that I was,” she said. “I don’t know him right now. I don’t know the man who filed for divorce. I haven’t spoken to him in a very long time. I don’t know him but I do know Porsha, now.”
