News today reaches us that last night in New York, Mrs Orlando Bloom gave a sneak preview of the handmade, $2.5million bra that she will wear during next month's Victoria's Secret catwalk extravaganza.
It took Long Island-based company London Jewelers 500 hours to hand-stitch the 3,400 gems - notably diamonds, pearls, citrines and aquamarines - upon the push-up bra, which will be the star piece of the lingerie giant's show. The precious bra also comprises a tassel centrepiece adorned with two 8-carat white diamonds, and two yellow 14-carat diamonds.
Each year a top model is bestowed the honour of modelling the Victoria's Secret 'Fantasy Bra'. Kerr follows in the footsteps of big names Tyra Banks, Heidi Kulm, Karolina Kurkova and Gisele Bunchen - who modelled a bra worth $15m in 2000.
"It's such an honour to wear the bra," Kerr told People magazine . "And it's such a piece of artwork! It's absolutely stunning - it kind of feels a little mermaid-like - but I can't believe I'm wearing $2.5 million on my chest."
