UNF women's golfer killed in plane crash, A University of North Florida women’s golfer was among three people killed Sunday after the small plane they were traveling in crashed into a retention pond in Jacksonville.
The Florida Times-Union reported that Tess Huber, a 20-year-old sophomore at North Florida, was killed in the plane crash along with her father, Michael, 60, and sister, Abigail, 17.
According to the report, the family was on-board a Cessna 310 model plane that crashed into a retention pond near a subdivision. Police said fog might have played a role in the crash.
Through four fall events, Huber was the low scorer for the Ospreys. She finished third in her most recent tournament.
