Gisele tom brady building boston mansion, If anyone has the bread to buy Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen’s multimillion-dollar house in Los Angeles, it’s definitely Dr. Dre, who recently sold his Beats Music company to Apple for $3 billion. Originally listed at $50 million, the French chateau-style mansion with cobblestone motor court and moat/koi pond eventually sold for $40 million, which, let’s be honest, is a drop in the bucket for Dre.
The house, designed by architect-to-the-stars Richard Landry, includes 18,298 square feet of living space, a library/study, a gym, sauna, five bedrooms, nine bathrooms, covered terraces, balconies, and no fewer than seven fireplaces. (Those LA winters can be so brutally cold.)
What’s puzzling is why the Pats QB and his supermodel spouse bothered buying the land in 2008 — they paid $11.75 million — and spending four years building an enormous house only to sell it.
But don’t worry about the Brady bunch. The couple is almost done building a new, much smaller place in Brookline, not far from the Chestnut Hill campus of Pine Manor College. Photos of the property taken in March show the house was almost finished. Until then, of course, they can always stay at Bundchen’s seaside compound in Costa Rica.
