James Gandolfini last meal fried king prawns and foie gras

James Gandolfini last meal fried king prawns and foie gras, James Gandolfini washed down two orders of fried king prawns and a “large portion” of foie gras with at least eight alcoholic drinks just hours before he collapsed in his Rome hotel room.

The former Sopranos star drank four shots of rum, two pina coladas and two beers at dinner with his son Michael on Wednesday evening, the New York Post quotes a hotel source as saying.

Gandolfini was found in the bathroom of his Rome hotel room during a ‘boy’s trip’ to Italy with his teenage son and later died after medics spent 40 minutes trying to save the TV actor in the ambulance and hospital.

The 51-year-old is said to have eaten back-to-back orders of the prawns accompanied with mayonnaise chilli sauce at the Boscolo Exedra Roma hotel’s outdoor restaurant during the 7pm meal, just hours before he suffered a heart attack.

He is said to have eaten the entire meal by himself, along with two rounds of a pina colada with two rums on the side before having another two beers, according to the source.

The newspaper also claims that the hulking, bare-chested actor was carried out of his hotel room, wrapped in a blanket.
