Maria Menounos Not Injured After Her Car Window Is Smashed In, Maria Menounos emerged unscathed from a scary moment Thursday morning, as a tire iron came flying through the window of a car she was riding in.
The former Extra co-host was leaving New York's JFK Airport when the incident occurred, according to multiple reports. She later posted an Instagram video from the scene.
"Crazy morning," she wrote. "@giannetos ended up with glass shattered all over him. Someone threw a tire wrench through our window! Everyone is ok - [thank you] for well wishes. Time to go to work!"
She later spoke to TMZ.com and E! News about the frightening moment.
"It really felt like something out of a movie," she told E! News. "I heard an explosion and I started screaming, 'Everyone down, we're being shot at. Everyone down!' "
Later in the day, Menounos, 36, seemed fine as PEOPLE caught up with her at an Ocean Spray event at Rockefeller Center. She talked about looking forward to holiday gift giving – "I try to give gifts that give back as much as possible," she said – and also addressed pregnancy rumors that have been floating around.
"I think it's funny," she said. "It's new to me. It's never happened. But you know, people are always curious, and I'm definitely getting to that age where everyone's wondering."
And does she see kids in her future?
