Not only is the 42-year-old actress filming the ABC Family series "Twisted" but she's also raising five kids.
"You just figure it out because you don't have a choice," she told Us Weekly at at a Carolle Adopt-a-Doll event Saturday in Los Angeles. "You have these children depending on you."
Charlie Sheen and his ex-wife Brooke Muller have twin 2-year-olds Bob and Max. Richards is now taking care of the boys because of Muller’s latest stint in rehab.
The children she speaks of are her two daughters with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, Sam, 9, and Lola, 7, as well as her adopted daughter Eloise, 22 months. If that wasn't enough, Richards is also caring for Sheen's twin boys with his third ex-wife Brooke Mueller - - Bob and Max, 2.
"You prioritize. I had children because I want to be a parent, and I want to be there for them," Richards explained. "I think my biggest challenge is [that] their different activities sometimes overlap."

If that's her biggest challenge Richards must be doing something right.
"I have a good schedule going," she added. "You just manage."
As for managing an additional two children, Richards stayed away from sharing details for legal reasons. The twins were placed under her care in early May due to Mueller having to check into rehab, making this visit number 20 for her.
"My situation with Charlie is that we've gotten along for quite some time now, and it's so much better," she said. "There are a lot of feelings and emotions there, but at the end of the day, our daughters benefit from us getting along, and [I do], too.
"I don't want to have an unhealthy relationship with him, something toxic with a lot of animosity. Life's too short for that," she continued. "We actually enjoy hanging out, and we enjoy being with the kids."
As for Sheen, 47, his rep confirmed that the actor knows his twin sons are in the best possible care with Richards.
"Charlie supports the actions of the Department of Children and Family services," the rep said in a statement at the time. "He knows Max and Bob are safe in a stable, loving environment with Denise and the boy's sisters."
