GCSE results: Could you pass a science GCSE? Take our quiz and find out

GCSE results: Could you pass a science GCSE? Take our quiz and find out, After the release of A-level results last Thursday, tomorrow it is the turn of thousands of GCSE students to find out their grades at schools across the country.

It has been predicted that we will see a drop in the pass rate this year amid a major upheaval of the exams system, with changes to key GCSEs and moves by students to sit different exams.

Professor Alan Smithers from the Centre for Education and Employment Research at Buckingham University said it was "likely" that results would drop, as regulator Ofqual moves to make sure standards are comparable year on year, and the introduction of the Government's new English Baccalaureate could also have an effect.

But as teenagers in England, Wales and Northern Ireland nervously wait to find out their grades, we're asking you to head back to the classroom and take our science GCSE quiz.

The questions are ones used in BBC Bitesize's revision guide for students preparing to take their AQA core science exam.

Will you pass with flying colours, or be returning for a resit?
