In a letter, he explains that, as a gay man, he cannot accept the invitation, and goes on to explain that if Russia's treatment of people like him changes, he could make a different decision.
Miller chose to publicly mention his sexuality for the first time as part of a letter about a wider issue. Recently WWE wrestler Darren Young came out when asked by a paparazzi what his views were about gay wrestlers. Young replied: "Look at me. I'm a WWE superstar and to be honest with you, I'll tell you right now, I'm gay. And I'm happy. I'm very happy."
