The 29-year-old, who is the most successful female skier in American history, told Couric in an interview that will air in full on the talk show Katie that their competitive personalities make them a good match.
“He’s very competitive just like me. We have very similar personalities,” she said.
Vonn, who suffered from a knee injury in Feb., told Matt Lauer last week that not only will she return to the slopes to compete in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, she’ll be taking the medal stand too.
“You better not doubt me,” she said.
