The pop singer was due to perform at the Vicar Street venue on September 12, but had to seek medical assistance.
She took to Twitter to tell her fans that she could no longer cope with the pain, writing, “Never thought I’d see the ER in Dublin.
“I have coughed myself into pain. The spasm is intense. Being human sucks sometimes.”
Rimes also thanked her “understanding, loving fans here in Ireland” and is believed to be recovering and in vocal rest following advice from doctors.
LeAnn’s rep has since stated to E! Online that her illness is due to a viral infection that the 31-year old has been struggling with for the past two weeks.
