Mariah carey vow renewals

Mariah carey vow renewalsM Mariah Carey just shut down Disneyland for the wedding of every little girl’s dreams. And if that’s not enough to make every wide-eyed grade-schooler in the country slam down her Lisa Frank folder in envy, it wasn’t even her wedding. It was her fifth anniversary vow renewa

The wildly immodest affair brought Mimi, her husband Nick Cannon, their #dembabies (which is, of course, what Carey calls her twins, Moroccan and Monroe, on Twitter), a full Entertainment Tonight camera crew (isn’t that how you documented your wedding?), and 250 of the couple’s closest friends to the Happiest Place on Earth—Disneyland—Tuesday night. If this sounds like the fairy tale spectacle you can’t believe you weren’t invited to, then you’re in luck: Carey tweeted throughout the occasion and posted ludicrous videos on Vine of all the pomp and circumstance.

Behold, the most ridiculous, over the top, and, yes, glorious aspects of the Carey-Cannon fifth anniversary vow renewal:

The Dress

Carey and Monroe donned their Cinderella-inspired gowns in the Disneyland Dream Suite. In lieu of chirping cartoon bluebirds to help with the dressing, three assistants were tasked with lacing the star into her frilly frock.

Mariah’s Mariahness

It’s not entirely clear, but I believe Mimi just said, “Titty pee tee.”

The Carriage

Carey and Monroe were picked up at the Dream Suite and transported to Sleeping Beauty Castle, where Cannon and Moroccan were waiting for them dressed as Disney princes to walk down the aisle as a family. How did Carey and Monroe travel? In horse-drawn Crystal Carriage, of course.

The Workers Dressed as Cartoon Characters

The Master of Ceremonies for the affair was dressed as the Royal Footman from Cinderella, Major Domo.

The Imported Decorations

As if the princess castle backdrop wasn’t enough, Carey and Cannon imported 15,000 flowers from South Africa, Holland, and France. Also adorning the space: 10,000 crystals.

The Fireworks

After the couple renewed their vows, themed, naturally, “Do you believe in fairy tales?,” Cannon surprised Carey with a fireworks display.

The Closed Off Park

There was a champagne toast and a reception DJ’d by, who else, Nick Cannon himself. But if that wasn’t enough to entertain guests, the entire Fantasyland park was closed to the public for the night, allowing attendees to ride the attractions without having to wait in line.

The Lavish Tradition of it All

Carey and Cannon have renewed their vows in lavish ceremonies for each of their five years together. Last year, it was underneath the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The year before, Rev. Al Sharpton officiated a renewal ceremony in the New York City hospital where their twins were born. So between Cinderella and, well, Al Sharpton, the Carey-Cannons have their work cut out for them to top this next year.</div>
